i recently noticed a response from someone saying they didn't understand the point of a "transguy" posting on this site. coming from someone who lives in a queer household, with a transgendered roommate, i found this offensive. womanhood is not debatable; most who are trans have either been a woman or are now a woman physically, not just emotionally and mentally. trans people are not less "gay" than any of us. being a woman, whether only physically or not, gives anyone the right to post their photo onto this page. transphobia or trans disregard is only allowing for gay inequality to spread through the gay community, which is oxymoronic if all we want is equality in the first place. whether that was your intention or not, it might have sparked some hurt in other people. i identify as a lesbian and am not trans, so i cannot imagine how hurtful that would have been to a trans individual reading this.
